That could be due to any number of factors which do not lead to the conclusion that more rapes happen in the U.S. I wouldn't be surprised if it is true, but I doubt it is likely true to the extent that your statistic seems to imply. Lacking an understanding of the underlying causes why the number of rapes is this high according to this statistic, I'm not really willing to draw any conclusions from it.
