Defensive anyone? Kavanaugh sounds scared!

And you purport to love, cherish and protect your daughters.  My deepest sympathies go out to them, they've a piece of shit for a father.

This has as much to do with protecting our sons as our daughters.  I'd like to think that a person has some convincing evidence before making charges that could destroy someone's career and family.  I don't want my daughter to live in a world in which a man is pronounced guilty of an accusation by a woman simply because he's a man or because he belongs to a particular political party.  Some of the same people who are condemning Kavanaugh are the same people who utterly ignored the women who came forth to accuse Bill Clinton of sexual assault.  They didn't care about those women and they don't care about this woman.  If this was really all about Ms Ford, instead of a political maneuver, it would have been presented in the hearing in July when they knew about it.  This isn't about finding the truth, but rather about blocking Kavanaugh from the supreme court.

I'm not entirely sure how not getting a promotion destroys someone's career.

Just out of curiosity, do you want to live in a world where your daughter gets raped and her rapist continues to rape other women, and then the president of the United States makes light of the assault against her and gives her rapist the authority to decide the fate of other rapists? Do you want to live in a world where your daughter is afraid to come forward about the attack perpetrated against her because people will say that some attacks warrant prison time, but other attacks -particularly her attack- should be swept under the rug because the attacker is in the good ol' boys club? Would it be okay if your daughter was raped and officials laughed at her and dismissed her allegations?

Do you want to live in a world where people who lie to and mislead the FBI, the senate and the American people get to decide the fates of other people who lie and mislead officials? Judge Kavanaugh does not deserve a promotion. That's it. If charges follow any of this, that's separate and aside from consideration for a promotion. Promotions are for the people who warrant them and not getting one doesn't destroy a person's career.
