Oh so now it is illegal to like more than one band? FYI I wont mention that I was far more obsessed with Pat Benatar as a teen than I am a fan of ABBA now.
I was so obsessed with Pat Benatar at one point, I could recite every word of every song and even tell you which song was what track on the A or B side.
I went to several concerts to the point she noticed me. Got invited back stage after meeting the fan club President.
Pro tip, not a good idea to tell her kids how great their parents are. Kids don't want to hear that, to them that is just mom and dad. The very next concert I went to she shouted at me in a crowd of 20,000 "SIT DOWN!" Because it was daylight and she was the opening act and was tired of me trying to get her attention. I look back at that now in retrospect, Cant say as I blame her.
I am an ABBA fan, but just like the Redskins, it is more of a fun thing and not a cult like life or death feeling of needing to belong.
Point is, as much as a still take some things seriously, being old is great, not the body crap, that sucks, but it is great because you are not required to kiss ass or care about popularity or belonging.
