Well, well if you do not believe doctors when they say that the chap is really dead and if you do not believe independent witness that validate these experiences then too bad for you because your contradictions will only keep in sewer of the stone age.

But they weren't dead if they came back to life to tell their stories.

I've experimented enough with lucid dreaming to understand that you can't trust anyone's interpretations of their experiences when they are lying in bed and their brain isn't working normally. Too much dreamlike content is heavily influenced by our concurrent expectations.
