Principle 1: We affirm the worth and dignity of every person.
Believe me, many of us have strong political and religious opinions. We just agree to be respectful to each other. The church is about community, despite different beliefs. BTW half the church is atheist.
And I really like and respect that. However, it is so mild that the religionists will mock you guys for being non-committal wimps. That is what they do. If you are unwilling to commit murder and genocide for your faith, then you are unworthy cowards.
Truth be told, UU is really humanist and I respect that, even admire it. But the fact is that the others will intentionally destroy you. And that is just sad. The one chance theism had will be destroyed by theists.
