IMO a show with dragon eggs in it doesn't really count as realistic.
All fiction has to have some degree of realism for me to enjoy it. I've always hated fantasy for this reason; Game of Thrones was the exception because of how realistic some aspects were. The authors intention was to subvert high fantasy tropes like those featured in the LotR movies. This includes rape, incest, and the realism/DE-glorification (is that a word) of war. People die and stay dead. And they shit their pants. A Feast for Crows, the fourth novel, discusses war from a peasants POV and actively works against the classic fantast trope of honorable and glorified warfare.
