What is God?

(My opinion-) He's descending into madness. He’s struggling with uncertainty, is plagued with personal demons, and is clamouring for answers and ways to cope. He has thrown himself deeper and deeper into mythology to find it. He’s now lost his way so completely that he can’t see the light of day anymore. I feel like some people around him have had a hand in manipulating this situation through his vulnerability. I feel very sorry for him, and I really hope he seeks some help from a non-preaching professional before he reaches some sort of critical mass.

Like all religious theists, he doesn’t realise that "god" is really just an idealised projection of himself. In his case the barriers have been breaking down, and he’s been granting himself more and more special powers not available to us atheist mortals. He can mind read, he can see dark forces that trick us, he is immune to these dark forces, and he can prove things to be true just by saying he has proven them. His ego is growing to match the projections.

He also has the standard special abilities like knowing what god wants, what he’s going to do to everyone, why he’s doing it, and how he can be excused from all responsibility. These are not so impressive since, as I said, god is just him.

...and once you got him to the point where he has all those powers that make him "cant be wrong" and thinking he knows exactly what god thinks (becaue its what he thinks) and makes him "intellectually superior" and unreachable by reason....then you can easily make him commit atrocities. and he wont lose a single thought.
