Kidding aside - let them in - or turn them back?

There' s upsides and down to both options.

I can't see letting them in - en mass. It would set a dangerous precidence - of " mob rule".

I also can't see turning them all back - human decency says you have to help those who will face death returning.

Turn them back.  Each and every one of them.  Rubber bullets, tent cities, chain link fences, pink jumpsuits, bread and water with moldy bologna (just like our own convicts get); until the prison bus gets back for the next load headed south. 

Build that wall and set up a DMZ mine field that N. Korea could admire from a distance.

I suppose to appear to give a shit, we could put in an immigration office every 100 miles or so in slight gaps in the wall.  Help a couple of asylum seekers fill out the fuckin paperwork and point them back from whence they came -- we will send you your test results within 90 days (give 'em time to hitchhike their way home).
