That, is what's known as an argument from igorance. The idea that because someone else doesn't know something, whatever you happen to say must be true. It may be true that someone doesn't know something...but regardless..that won't mean that someone else does.

No, science definintely does not know why or how we have consciousness. There are neuroscientists all over the world working on solving the mystery of it right now. And yours is also an argument of ignorance, just so we are on the same page with the type of discussion we are having.
If you say so..but, again, it's not as if it would matter if it didn't...and if you're now appealing to hypocrisy you can only be asserting that what we are both doing (not that you'd know what I'm doing) is wrong.
