So why aren't there other human like species on earth? Why are we the only ones? You are humanizing animals, beavers don't construct or control the environment, bees communicating is a series of pre programmed movements. We are the only species which questions its place in the universe.

How is this planet a killing machine? I present to you the convenient fact that 99.9% of everything that has ever lived on this planet is currently extinct. That's one hell of a failure rate. Unless the point is extinction, then we have a fantastic success.

Thats fallacious logic. The tree of life branches in many directions, extinction usually results in the creation of something new. After all homo erectus is extinct.

No, I'm trying to explain to you that you are approaching the question from what is known as the anthropic principle. Specifically that you have your objects in inverse order. We are suited to this universe, not the other way around.

Yes we are suited to it, survival of the fittest etc.

But nothing could exist without gravity, heat, light etc - the laws which govern the universe, created by God(s).

What about it indeed. It directly answers your question as to why it is absurd and impossible to believe in gods existence out of fear of the possibility of his existence, in order to "hedge our bets".

Ok, but first I would like you to point out where I claimed there is no god. Where and when did I assert that? I've rejected your claims, I have none to reject. I'm not going to leave you alone till you show me where I asserted that god doesn't exist.

The fact that you call yourself an atheist implies you believe there is no God. If this was an agnostic forum, and you an agnostic, I would have nothing to say to you.

Or they could just be nature. You don't get anywhere by simply assuming shit.

Then lets not assume there was a big bang, or that dark energy and black holes exist. They are only theories.
