That case was a joke and should have never happened.
No, it shouldn't have happened.
Parents and teachers have no right to push a pseudo-science like ID into public schools and try to claim it's fact.
But they keep trying, hence the reason yrials like this happen. Decent parents keeping religious claims disguised (badly) as "science" out of schools.
