This betrays an inherent lack of understanding of what evolution is.... that or he is being disingenuous for some agenda.

He is saying macroevolution does not seem possible at the molecular level and no scientist in the world is able to explain to him how it possibly could be, so he is very skeptical of it and thinks science should be more honest about its huge gaps in knowledge.

That is left to the parents because there is a separation of church and state (at least here in the United States) but the country of Turkey and the country of Israel have both decided to stop teaching evolution in their public schools. This was the first semester without it for Turkey.
