You're thinking seems to be very simplistic.
Maybe it's not the person baking the cake at all that's the problem. Maybe it's the recipe. Maybe the eggs were bad in the first sample. Maybe they went to the grocery store and bought more eggs from the same batch and got another bad cake. When you start asking the important questions and finding ways to control the problem(s), then you'll start to understand what it means to be "scientific." Go taste all the cakes you want. While you're doing that, those who practice real science will be finding the problem, fixing it, then eating the improved cake while you're busy eating the same defective cakes, not realizing there's a party back at the kitchen, and everybody is eating good cake without you. But that doesn't mean you couldn't have been there too.
