Whitehorse is one word. And the population of that town that's way out in the north is barely 25 thousand. What are the chances of coming across someone from Whitehorse?
Forgive me for thinking this is a tall tale but if any reasonable person were in my shoes they'd come to the same conclusion.

In all likelihood you're a British immigrant who's pretending to be a Canadian from Yellowknife (well now White Horse having misspelled Whitehorse) and came up with this elaborate story of watching British comedy to explain your British style that is obviously a result of your British upbringing before you immigrated to Canada. There's no fooling anyone.
