It should be strongly considered that Camping is either an evil manipulator or is mentally ill. On that basis, he certainly will not stop either way. His group have also made a fine living out of appealing to the most vulnerable and most credulous people, so it's not terribly likely that another failed prophecy would make all that much difference.
