I don't believe he's totally innocent, but I don't think it's fair to call him, or anybody else, a monster just because you don't like them. When people make mistakes, my hope is always that there is correction. That includes myself. If I legitimately flub up, hopefully I'll find a way to remedy the problem.
What did you expect him to do? The accused person said it didn't happen and eventually resigned. Maybe he was lying, maybe she was. I'm not going to assume either. All I can hope for is justice even if I don't know what it would look like in a given scenario. If he did it, that makes the rapist the "monster." It amazes me how I keep hearing about Clarke, but nobody mentioning the name of the man that supposedly did it.
