Just to put all the speculations to rest:
Yon made a post with an acronym as title. The first post did not contain an explanation of the acronym, you had to go to another site to figure it out. (This is kind of bad form, but no rules against it).
When asked what it meant Yon posted the link again without explanation. A few posts later he said the people asking were just being dicks. Well, the acronym was known only to US people who had currently been reading political articles. And, when you are on a phone it can be very inconvenient to follow links.
There was some arguing among members about who did and didn't know the acronym. In the course of that, he put a mod on ignore. When I posted a rule that he cannot put mods on ignore, a copy from the rules in mod color, he also put me on ignore and went to start another thread about petty rules and how he would not follow them.
That got him banned. We don't have many rules, but you are expected to follow them after a mod officially makes you aware of them.
That's it. I felt I had to clarify the cause of the ban. I won't participate in this thread anymore, as I consider us sister forums. One or the other place may be more to the liking of one person or another, and that's a good thing. It gives all the members choices and traditionally TTA and AF have always cooperated and we had and have many cross over members. We at AD value this relationship and will continue to try to further it. I am sorry to jump in here, I don't really think we should be airing dirty laundry in each other's places.
I am glad Yon has found a new home here, and wish him happy travels. And I want to thank AF for their hospitality.
