Sorry I misunderstood what your alignment switch was. Flipping from lawful good to lawful evil is actually common. I was commenting on dropping the lawful portion if you're going without a conscience. I can't see a conscience-less character playing anything without chaotic in it's alignment. Maybe a lawful neutral with no conscience, kinda of like the robot judge. No, no adventure is ever really good in DnD. There was a campaign I ran a long while ago where I had basically revisited a campaign setting with the same set of players with different character. As the 1st Round heroes had made an awful mess of the world, grabbing their power and riches, the second time through these new heroes were sent to fix the world from their previous characters. It was actually quite a great campaign, that ended in them fighting/using their old characters. It still caused "problems in that world's dimensions", but it goes to show good/bad can be about perspective.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post
