The weak-minded in the USA are those who read the tabloids and are active with their Facebook accounts. They are easily manipulated.
There are those who make their fortunes off of manipulating these sheep. They tell them who is hip, what the acceptable fashion is, what the popular music is, what the hip vernacular is, etc. Then they sell them what they have convinced them to buy.
And the sheep in other countries around the world follow as the sheep in the USA can do no wrong.
It's pathetic but I somehow maintain my optimism for the human species. I hold out hope for artificial augmentation of human intelligence.
