Hey, all. It's been a while since I've updated, so I figured I'd put one in here. Yesterday, my mom had her first blood test after her second round of chemo. She didn't need a platelet transfusion! (Of course, other people still do.) She was so happy, she's eaten more by mouth than she has in months. There will be a scan in April to see if the treatment is working. Please wish us luck.
Mom's A-, by the way. She may still need platelets in the future. I'll keep you posted.
On a side note, my mom is very loosely Christian, but her family is hella Boston Christian. A few of them came over yesterday and sang and prayed over her in the house. It was sweet because they kept asking god to bless Tibs and I for everything we do for Mom. It's ludicrous because she's my mom and we all know I'm an Atheist, but it was still nice. They're kind people, plus Tibs had a good laugh from his office upstairs when the singing began.
