Rule of thumb for all surgery: Never have an unnecessary operation.Will this procedure remove chronic pain, discomfort, or prevent future problems?

PERSPECTIVE: It's a trade off; pain vs gain. It's not major surgery. The pain is manageable,(imo) and will soon pass. Talk to your doctor.

Any procedure involving scalpel and penis will hurt. However, the procedure will almost certainly be done under local anaesthetic . After, you should have access to say a lignocaine (cocaine) based spray or gel. Probably be a bit tender for a few days .

Yeah, I've 'had some work done"; that was internal, involving bladder and penis--THAT hurt, for a about a week, but I had access to analgesics, so it was manageable,. The long term effects were certainly worth any pain I had..
