It's really no surprise that you compare me to "islamist extremists", which show how well you've been brainwashed about the current public enemy.
I'm sure if it were like 30 years back, you'd probably say, hey, this man is talking like a communist(even though I'm staunchly anti-communist), it is a mentality like this that develops in communism, and whatever you said in the rest of your post, as communism was the public enemy of that time.

No, I used extremist Muslims as an example as it is easily related to in today's world. I was simply using it as an example of people who blame the people when they are not to blame. That isn't the way of doing things, it is very wrong.

Btw, I am not American... I doubt I will ever have had a major problem with communists. I like the ideals behind communism, it unfortunately just doesn't work.

Besides, there are a lot of better examples to show how it relates in today's world. Let's take the USA as an example, who have passed legislations and acts relating to "terrorism" that allowed them to monitor anyone with a remotely arab or muslim sounding names the very day they entered the country, along with subjecting them to search and interrogation before they let them inside of their borders.
Even though I prefer to distance myself from the arabs and persians, I could safely state that most of them are now burdened with their own troubles, as to give a damn about America. So am I, and my brothers in other Turkic countries.
You're not American, I know that already. But your country is a part of NATO, so, one of the countries that opposed communism, so was my country, a NATO country. I was too young to remember the cold war days, but I remember my grandfather screaming aloud in joy as he heard when that the communist regime collapsed.
As a Turkish saying states; when the wolf gets old, he becomes the laughing stock of the fox.

People get off on power.

It is very unfortunate.

Well, I don't think that communism is needed for a welfare state. It simply takes all property away from the common man, and leaves him to the mercy of people such as Stalin.
Communism is the equal distribution of power, it's essentially a worker class dictatorship.
