Last few episodes I've been saying aloud "stupid man" and then laughing whenever males do something stupid, and "pathetic man" whenever males do something pathetic...opportunities are ubiquitous therefore the lol factor. There have been zero opportunities to say "stupid/pathetic woman" thus far, which is also doubtless central to the lol factor. Truly, something else. Can't wait to see what season 2 has got in store!
S01E12 - season finale and miss slippy knickers is finally elevated to the status of deity by simple folk who mistake her for a god, then she tries to convince the "church boss" (complete with Popely white robes and mitre) that she isn't in fact "Jesus Christ", but that doesn't work so she offers to sacrifice her life for them (JC much?). In the end there's no need and it's all resolved, with black envoy man and woman representing the now enlightened, progressive, reasonable civilisation. Stupid whitey man captain acknowledges it was his fault for being "overprotective" of miss slippy knickers, and she dumps him for this, being infallibly awesome (they were giving things another shot), and he says she's right to do that, but that he's still in love with her anyway. Perfect!
