This has got to be the most bullshit excuse I have ever seen. I’m not saying anyone has to take it up as a cause. (Though...preventing child rape is a pretty fucking worthy cause if you ask me.)
People are tithing to an organization where their tithe money is being used to block bills that would protect child rape victims. That absolutely makes them complicit. It wouldn’t even take them any effort to stop giving the money and it would only take a tiny bit of effort for them to say “this is wrong, I don’t want my money going towards this”.
I’m so curious about what worthy causes are more important than protecting children from being raped.
