(March 26, 2019 at 3:23 pm)Drich Wrote: I pay people according to what they do/what they make for the company, not because they are entitled to make a living wage just for showing up. Some make twice what I bring home in a year. others if I could charge the to work here I would. (I am a working teaching facility, come here no tools no skills 2 years later you have a skill valued anywhere on the planet.)

If you want to pay people "a decent wage" then hows about you get off your ass and start your own business, work for free for 10 years get to where you are breaking even and then tell me about what a "decent wage is."

What kind of POS assumes all people who work at a given privately owned company make the same money? what or why would you foolish assume the pay rate would not be merit based? That the more the company makes the more the employees make?

We start at minimum wage to be taught a skill. meaning it generally takes two full years to learn this specific trade which is an amalgamation of several trades including but not limited to plumbing, auto mechanic diesel mechanic DC electrician and mirco circutry diagnositic specialist along with high voltage electrician, refrigeration tech and service tech. Besides myself I have one guy who has been with me more than 5 years and has almost master all of these skills. he is my highest earner. his salary is twice what mine is. He literally lives in a house a story taller and 1000 square feet bigger. he came to me frsh out of jail with not a dollar to ride the bus to get to work with. He has worked himself up from min wage to 35% of our labor billings (which if you knew the business you would know that is the house take in labor.. meaning out of what we charge in labor 35% is the total profit. If yu had your own business set up legitly like our is, you could not make more money.. So again.. tell me what is fare.

Next I have another employee who has 15 kids and 4 baby mamas.. he is going to be apart of the well fare state if he made 150K a year.

Oh I almost forgot.. All of my high earners (over 100K) are all convicted time served/probation felons. ( and I do not get s dime from the state to provide them with jobs.) How many second chancers do you employ old sport? zero you say? I higher men and fire them based on ability and willingness to work subsequently this is also how they get paid.

So who is left? the people who are getting started with me new hires r office people who don't actually generate any funds for the company. And sales/ commission people. their pay is directly connected to what they sell. Some commission types make good money others break even. again what people are paid is based on what they do. Not to mention I hired the old man who in 1993 taught me the ropes in my first refrigeration job. He is now 85 and sits in a chair and chatts up the guys who do the real work when he feels like coming in. I pay his gas and min wage for coming in when he wants too.

(Guess who is the FIRST that gets the axe when labor rates go up to 15 dollars per hour. (The shop doe not really need a lunch getter and story teller) Not to mention we give him his slary when he doesn't feel like comming in. oh, and he is on warefare and SS.

If they can't afford to live off what they make here I tell them to find another job, double down here learn another skill or buy tools/invest in themselves. My job is not to support you or your family, I am here as a simple opportunity, what you do with said opportunity is on you completely. If you want to be a lead tech and earn over 100k good! I need more of those guys, however if you want to be the guy who runs parts and sweeps up after the 100k a year guy I need guys like that too, but at the same time know you will not be paid the same!

That's what kills me.. new guys coming in wanting more money I tell them a dollar more an hour if they buy a basic set of tools and another dollar more if they get their basic EPA certification (608) 2 dollar raise off the bat for things I was required to have before I could even get a job! Not one of them has taken me up on this offer!

I say F the 15 min wage as people are not always worth 15 dollars per hour. How can the federal government tell me I am required to pay someone 15 dollars an hour with no other skill than having a pulse. I know I a not the only one who will be made to cut back. that is where the money comes from sport or did you not know? There is no big piggy bank that business owners have. if people have been in business over that 10 year mark it is because they invest everything into it! So when a something like pay role doubles, the only way to meet it is to cut expenses and if the expense is in payroll itself then that's where the cuts must be confined lest the business hemorrhage out. Meaning jobs are cut and salaries/bonuses cut till new payroll burden is met.

So again let the adults run things for a while as you bleeding heart are killing the geese that lays the golden eggs you guys think it is the government's job to collect. why not let the goose have a few of those eggs once and a while (they created them they better than the government knows what to do with them) and before you know it you will be up to your neck in golden eggs. or keep trying and one day you will kill the goose, so you can have all your eggs up front and see where that gets you!

Holy crap dude.

You do understand that times change over decades, and sticking to old ways do not match up with changing times.

This is the same nonsense even Libertarians use with "less government", failing to recognize that we are a representative government, and there is no way America could function today if we only had the original 13 states.

If prices go up, you cant continue to screw workers over. Wages have to increase if prices increase. It would be even worse if say today, workers were making the same wages as say 1910. For the past 40 years, although there have been wage increases at the federal level, the fact still remains even with those increases, wages are not meeting the cost of living. You cant continue to do that long term. It is simply going to destroy our three class system, and end up with Pre Great Depression conditions.

You have the stupid mentality that we should stick to rotary phone laws when we have cell phones. That is how you are stupidly treating wages.

FYI it is simply cheaper to pay livable wages that meet the cost of living than to do what we currently are. If the individual or family can pay their bills GUESS WHAT, they don't have to turn to government.

The only reason the rich sell this crap is it is great for CEOs and shareholders. It does nothing to improve the lives of workers. If "let the rich do anything they want" always worked, nobody would be complaining.

Sorry, but there is no point in having a pluralistic society, or voting, if only one sect of a society has a monopoly on government.

Minimum wage does not mean a living wage. minimum wage was the rock bottom show up with a pulse and hold this broom, and try and not hurt yourself wage given to weak minded people as a token that slavery was a thing of the past. However if you wished to work for less a job in agriculture would always suspend any and all workers rights. however if you want to make more you had to earnit. here's an idea get off your lazy asses and learn a trade, most trade job double collage jobs now. time to wake up and go to work rather than taking 10 years off working a crap job and demanding to sustain yourself till you finally decide to clock in to a career.

let define
ex·on·er·ate
/iɡˈzänəˌrāt/
verb

  1. 1.
(especially of an official body) absolve (someone) from blame for a fault or wrongdoing, especially after due consideration of the case.

Do you see the word exonerate is a verb? this means the word does not have tobe employed in the actual act. the word describes the act of exoneration meaning all the report need do to exonerate trump is free him from suspition of rong doing concerning the charges brough against him!

IE:

(The first pargraph of page two of the mueller report)
The Special Counsel's report is divided into two parts. The first describes the results of the Special Counsel's investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. The report outlines the Russian effort to influence the election and documents crimes committed by persons associated with the Russian government in connection with those efforts. The report further explains that a primary consideration for the Special Counsel's investigation was whether any Americans – including individuals associated with the Trump campaign – joined the Russian conspiracies to influence the election, which would be a federal crime. The Special Counsel's investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election. As the report states: “[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”

Do you see the highlighted bit? Do you see how it starts? "
Counsel's investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
That my intellectually dishonest pos friend is the dictionary definition of Exoneration!

There is nothing more to argue here! the defination of the word fits the paragraph in the mueller report that free trump and or his staff for any wrong doing russia and the election.

Aren't you tire of running the media's take on everything and always being wrong in the end?

NICE FUCKING OMISSION THERE!

HOW ABOUT POSTING THE FULL 4 PAGES?

Now you are being dishonest.

DIRECT QUOTE FROM THE OFFICIAL SUMMERY ON OBSTRUCTION
The Special Counsel states that “while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.”

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019...ule=inline

" IT ALSO DOES NOT EXONERATE HIM" <------ direct quote from the summery itself. AND THIS WAS A SUMMERY, NOT THE FULL REPORT ITSELF.

What Mueller signed off on, was saying this cannot be put to bed right now and outside Russia, there is enough there to be concerned about. That leaves the door open for state charges that the feds cannot stop from proceeding.

There was more than one issue the summery was addressing.

hey dip shite take a look at the post above you... seems like your the one omitting facts huh?!?!
