No I can not "Tell you" the story ...Time differences and all.
'Baba Yaga' herself is not scary and you are silly and childish to think so. The strength of the story is that Vassalisa didn't think that Baba Yaga was scary and so 'won' the "gift" of fire for her family and maturity for herself

Purchase it and READ. It is the best dissertation regarding the feminine archetype and the basis of "Fairy Stories " I have come across yet. (mind you I have not been able to "READ" much for the past 6 years or so.
Oh man...she wasn't afraid of her! amazing...amazing, that picture is so creepy. I have this fairy tale characters book and it talks about Baba Yaga, from what I remember it sets her up to be a pretty devious character. I'll look again tonight.
