He knows fuck all about AI.
I strongly disagree. He's a good businessman, but he clearly cares more about the scientific and engineering aspects of his work. His goal, ultimately, is to advance humanity. IMO, he only excels in business as much as he needs to get proper public and private funding for his ideas. He's a good businessman... but definitely not a great one. Tesla isn't exactly a goldmine for investors. It's a volatile stock. But they're investing in him and his ideas. They're investing in Elon himself.
He clearly thinks what is desired by Elon is good for society, and has no need to account for the professional opinion and assessment of the society.
I suppose that is notably different from Elon desires what he desires and fuck you all.
