While I don't think it is statistically likely that you will fall victim to a white cop (particularly since you are female), there can be no denial that white police officers are far more likely to open fire on a black, male suspect than any other and it MUST stop! It is absolutely unacceptable and you are right to draw attention to it.
I was giddy with optimism when Barack Obama was elected President of the United States. I thought it would bury racism forever. Unfortunately, it had the opposite effect. It made racism fashionable again. Like cockroaches who ran under the refrigerator when the light was turned on, the election of Obama drew them back out when they thought the light was turned off.
We must all do our part to drill it into their heads that the light is still on. Racism is NOT acceptable.
