The implication that she is more likely gunned down by "the brothas in the hood" is ridiculously presumptuous and dismissive since she's made it clear multiple times that she does NOT live in the fucking hood.

This is YOUR projection, not mine. I simply relayed what I've been told by multiple friends of mine and in no way implied that I knew where she lived or what type of neighborhood she's from. You're the one being presumptuous here, not me.

I just thought it was worth pointing out that their experiences aren't necessarily BQ's experiences.

If she's that concerned, don't go outside with your cane. Figure out an alternative. Problem solved.

Going outside without her cane is not a feasible solution to her problem. 
She is blind. She needs it to navigate her surroundings and ambulate safely.

I'm sure it's tough enough living as a disabled person, let alone having to worry about the police thinking you have a weapon. But at the end of the day if the thought scares you THAT MUCH, do something about it.

Didn't say it scared me THAT MUCH tough. I said it was was a legitimate concern, but made it clear that she that shouldn't allow it to stop her from living her life.

I offered her a sound, reasonable solution to the problem of her walking stick potentially being mistaken for a weapon to help assuage her fears. It should be on the first or second page of the thread if you care to look.

Or you can just keep getting your hackles up and being pissy about things. I don't care.
