You know there was recently an article in Boston Globe how the Koch brothers are planning to change their "forever war" policy that they've been steering US politicans to and instead "promote an approach to the world based on diplomacy and restraint rather than threats, sanctions, and bombing".
So who knows, maybe there will be some mercy towards those countries that are under war.
As the article stated "This is a radical notion in Washington, where every major think tank promotes some variant of neocon militarism or liberal interventionism".
