People who “commit” to pets aren’t committing to medical bills they’d strain to pay even if it were a human child. That part, not what you would do or what you did or what you -can- do...is the ridiculous bit.
The other end of that is their cat, their opinion, their wallet.
Actually, when you commit to a pet you take responsibility fir its wellbeing, not just for when it’s a kitten and/or healthy, but for its entire life.
Again, if you’re not prepared to take the responsibility, then don’t get a pet.
Also, probably best not to have kids, either. Lack of responsibility for animals may be mirrored in how kids are treated.
