This is actually very important. And one reason why one should consider getting a formal education ... and that means learning from a teacher.
Why? Because it communicates to others that you know what you are talking about. They will be more likely to listen to you. No man is an island. You can't build a geothermal plant by yourself in your back garden (yard) for example.
And even if you know the language to use and have a formal education, even that may not be enough. Even if you have a brilliant idea which could revolutionise the world and have the knowledge and experience to see it through, you still have to sell it to others. But if no one else is interested because they aren't asking the right questions yet, or sees the value because of their preconceptions then the idea will die with you.
And if you can't even use the right language then you have virtually no chance.
