People don't " attempt" suicide with a gun.
They COMMIT it.
Since this is already...not surprisingly so...a pissing contest, I will add this...
Not everyone who attempts suicide with a gun is successful. My cousin made an attempt in around 2004 or 2005. He gut shot himself with a shotgun. The doctors gave him a pretty slim chance at survival but survive he did. A fair amount of his intestines and colon were removed and multiple holes patched up. He had a colostomy bag for a time. Later the doctors were able to remove the colostomy and resect his intestines. He has since married and had a child, has a good job, and seems to be doing okay.
So...yeah...not every suicide attempt with a gun is successful though I will agree that many are.
Send lawyers, guns, and money...
