The latter half is true. The former is not. Do you really think the Sudanese government is letting the average citizens of Darfur get their hands on weapons? They're not being fucked over by themselves. They are fucking agricultural tribal communities that are being attacked by Janjaweed with AKs. If the people had AKs and not just the rebel groups and the Janjaweed, there wouldn't be a fucking genocide.

It is, whether you like it or not. Of course, it isn't whether the women can touch the weapons. You seem to think that every villager in a bassackwards country with barely any water has an AK and therefore, the womenfolk do too. It simply isn't the case. I'm not ignorant of the situation over there, nor am I painting a different reality. How can you reconcile the rape statistics with your belief that these women have guns?
