And this, folks, is just one small example of just how immoral religions are.
It is quite possible that Dmitry is a nice guy, who lives his life as a good citizen, yet just look how his religion has completely distorted his moral compass.
I am almost sure, that if it came down to it, he would not act as immorally as his book.
Dmitriy, please rest assured, that I would not be morally ok with owning you, or your family as slaves. I am more moral as the Bible, and deep down, I believe the vast majority of Christians are more moral than the Bible, also.
It is NEVER moral to own another person as property, to pass them down to one's children, to beat then as long as they don't die in a couple of days, to sell one's daughter into sexual slavery, etc.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
