Ironically enough, there are much more important reasons we should dislike Trump than seemingly made up comments about nuking hurricanes.
Given the almost incalculable amount of rubbish he's spouted - on Twitter, at his rallies, during pressers, etc - it doesn't seem terribly far-fetched that he'd bring up nuking hurricanes. The weather johnnies in the US say they get this suggestion fairly frequently, and we know that Trump loves to parrot nonsense.

I never heard of the concept until this "story." While I wouldn't be dumbfounded he said it, I sort of doubt it.
Anyway, there's plenty of other, more legitimate, reasons to criticize Trump.
