It's interesting to read about how you all prefer to relax or increase concentration in your own ways, But I am also curious to find out whether you all think that the practice of mindfulness when doing certain tasks and undertakings, even very simple things, can increase ones feeling of participation.
The reason I ask is because life tends to run very fast in the eyes of most people, and alot of the time there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day. The consumer culture we live in coupled with a hectic lifestyle and schedual often makes it hard for people to slow down a little and truly savour the experiences they are having.
Do you guys think the practice of mindfulness, not sitting still with your eyes closed meditating and/or saying mantras, but just training your mind to focus intently on the task in hand and the sensations being derived, do you think that it could be beneficial to peoples experience of their everyday lives?
