But maybe you guys know of something that can bring that number to 0?
Perhaps it could be carbon neutral if ships used artificially made ethanol in a process I mentioned on previous page (about the Sahara). For instance these private space companies apparently launch their methane rockets by creating their own methane by using electricity from solar panels and then sucking carbon out of air and mix it with hydrogen.
And when it comes to plastic waste, this is something that big oil companies (Exxon, Shell) who are responsible for it should deal with, like building incinerators or electrical arc gasifiers, at least by using money they save from not paying taxes. That's why they need to be pushed by politicians or taxed.
Recently, Jane Fonda gave a nice speech about Green New Deal. And I also like the chant from the 4th speaker: "Corporate scum, here we come!"
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
