America is mostly self sufficient economically. It doesn't depend on external world.

Yes, I'm a socialist.  But increasing taxes on the rich isn't theft. 

Excessive taxation is theft. The rich in US already pay 70% of income tax, 100% of corporate tax and substantial part of payroll tax

Those most able to benefit from a society have a larger responsibility to support that society.

It's the other way around. Society benefits from the rich. Otherwise North Korea would be richer than South Korea and USSR wouldn't collapse.

If you don't depend on the rest of the world, why do you import more than you export?
