Trouble is, the people who send you off to deal with unfriendly foreigners are also the people who decide what constitutes a 'legal' order.

In any group of people there will be those who are good and honorable, those who aren't, and those who ride the fence between.
It's not a black or white issue as many seem to think. Active duty, veterans, and those gone are a cross section of the population.
Not everyone in military service follows every order blindly.
