Sins

Most religions consider any type of sexual pleasure to be a sin.

No they don't. This is a common and wildly innacurate generalisation. Religion celebrates sex. There are however sexual acts which defile sex. Those are what "religion" is against.

So sins are defined by the law of god?

No, "sins" or actions which would limit our lives are universally accepted to be so.

"But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell."

So let's say my younger brother wants to play my Xbox while I'm not home, takes the Xbox out of my room and accidentally drops it on the ground breaking it. If I get angry with him and call him an idiot, I am in danger of going to hell? THAT'S FUCKED UP.

If you're angry at someone, you should expect anger back.

If you call someone else, don't be surprised to be questioned on the same crime yourself.

If you curse someone, expect to recieve the same back.

The law of the land was that you didn't eat meat with blood on it. It was one of the many public health rulings from the OT. "Sinning" in that context is putting your health at risk. As God wants you to be happy and healthy, going against his will is 'sinning'.

"A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the LORD your God."

In those times, these were societies rules. To us abhorent, to them... normal. You are talking about historic Jewish tradition which doesn't apply to Christians, but you may want to take it in context of ancient Judaic belief, sure.

So I can't trust the doctor who diagnosed me with lung cancer. Instead of taking treatments, I will pray to god for help instead so I won't be cursed. THAT'S FUCKED UP.

My overall health, which is the same to me as saying my measure of connection to God, is dependant on more things than medicine encompasses. Of course for a medical complaint you need to go to a doctor. That isn't what is being said here (as is clearly explained in other areas of the bible).

An eye for an eye stuff. Again... this is societal law. It only applies as docomented evidence of how society ran back then. It is in no way prescriptive.

So if I beat my slave, and he lives, I shall not be punished, but then the bible also says that if I injure my slave, the same shall be done to me and I will be punished. THAT'S FUCKED UP.

Historical information we find distasteful. No doubt our descendants will raise similar accusations against us. Because what we do now, may well conflict with what they see as normal.

The bible tells us that God loves these people especially, over the 'riteous', and does give many exaples of grace towards them. Christianity is the religion of the underdog.

Except for these people in certain circumstances, and almost exclusively the religious, regarding hypocrites.
