Huge thumbs up to frodo, I don't agree with everything, I'll leave it at that but you got some big respect from me.
The reason I posted this is because my girlfriend is a Christian. She is not a hardcore fundamentalist Christian, but she believes in the basic values and she is a very kind and understanding woman. The thing is though, she told me that she is going to hell because we've had sex outside of marriage, which is a huge sin to her religion. When meeting her family last Sunday, one of her older aunts made sure to let me know if she got pregnant outside of marriage she would not support her, myself or our child.
I plan on marrying this girl, I know things change, but I would honestly be there for our child(ren) through everything.
My girlfriend took it hard that her family would disown her because of sex outside of marriage. Who exactly is this hurting? My point was, who are the victims in victimless crimes? Maybe I should have made a thread about victimless crimes instead.
I don't see how sex outside of marriage (which is pleasure and emotional and brings couples closer together), getting angry with someone and not hurting them in any way, eating blood from meat, getting a tattoo, and something as simple as wearing clothes of the opposite gender could be considered a sin, and could result in one going to hell.
