I don't mean delusional in the clinical sense of course. I mean 'God is a delusion' in the very vague sense Dawkains speaks of in TGD - it's a belief as false as any other 'false belief' because it lacks any evidence whatsoever. And it is both a 'faith belief' and an irrational belief because of one thing - it lacks any evidence whatsoever to back it up.
And as I said. It's the belief itself that is a 'delusion' and that's the delusional part. Other than that you can of course be a completely rational individual. Although I think the mindset of someone who has 'a "Faith"' of some form or other perhaps on average tends to be less rational over all. I mean some of the most rational people are quite commonly atheistic I think?
And the whole thing that 'on average atheists have a higher IQ' and shit like that. But in and of itself, other than the 'God belief' itself - you can be perfectly rational (well, as perfect as anyone else can be!) and still be a theist (or a deist, etc) - of course you can!
