Well.... I think of 'Math' as just another 'Language'.
It's syntax and such starts out simple enough.... but does get more complex and intricate the more one learns it.
As for magnetism? I just know it's intertwined/connected with electricity.
Black holes are due to gravity.

Calculous, to us laymen, is unnecessary when we talk about the conjugate nature of nature! Nature is complex; yes: not complicated--not math!
