What sort of answer/response are you hoping for from a 'Relativly' anonymous message board to a rather anecdotal tale?

It's just that it presented a puzzle. And there are a lot of really smart people here on this forum. And I, like many, dream of flying. I have studied bees, beetles, dragonflies and spiders. The more I observe them the more I understand how they fly. It ain't just because they have wings. Certainly, spiders don't have wings but they still fly.

I used to manage a vacation rental in Pa'ia. I lived there and could surf in my backyard. I was bitten by a Brown Recluse and nearly lost my foot. Thank God the doctor recognized it and treated it as such. I had bug service regularly because I didn't want my guests to be bothered by centipedes or scorpions. But, the spiders just blow in with the wind.


It is fascinating. A spider will make a parasail, attach itself to a branch and charge up the sail with static electricity via the wind until it go's up, because of atmospheric electricity, and blows with the wind. They find spiders on the buoys we use to measure swell size that are out at sea!
