Women beating men is more common than you would think.
Up till 20 years ago - here in Michigan - spousal abuse was only defined as a man beating a woman. The other way round didn't count.
They changed the law.
The day the new law went into effect - the sister of the woman I lived with got the dubious distinction of being the first woman arrested for spousal abuse.
She got probation.
