ISKCON is a weird religion because they forbid illicit sex (sex other than for procreation) and yet take one of its most fervent followers: George Harrison. That guy had crazy monkey sex with lots of women although he was married (even in that Scorsese documentary about him his wife said "They ask me 'what is the secret for long marriage?' Well, you don't get divorced")
And yet George insisted that all people who were not Hare Krishna were brainwashed, although he himself couldn't follow Hare Krishna rules. And that is so typical of all religious people in almost all religions.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
