God is not a human.
He already tortures with the heat of the sun, or disease, or death.
He already tortures you and me since the moment we are born; so perhaps we can make sense out of it. But the torture of the afterlife is longer.
God already tortures you, but you ignore the large sign saying so and call his torture on earth with "different names", humans love fancy names like "cancer" or "Multiple Sclerosis", but they are nothing but torture so perhaps you and I can feel the real worth of God's mercy and feel the real torture of God's power.
