I'm not making him "evil" since I said explicitly that he is merciful; but if you translate "justice" to "evil" then that is your damaged vocabulary.
He did reveal, and billions believed in his revelation; blaming the war that is burning between "believers" and "non-believers" on the first party is not fair; especially when we compare the body-count each party dropped -with your party winning the contest with the invention of atomic weapons and causing two mass extinctions on two whole continents -the Americas-.
You told me it's in his nature to torture people, and that he isn't concerned about pleasure. You may not believe that means he's evil, but to most of us that's pretty evil. I don't care if he's merciful to some. Being merciful to some, while torturing others, does not make you not evil. setting people on fire is not a form of justice. You can punish people proportionately, without torturing them.
Billions have believed, and trillions have not. Your god isn't doing a very good job at getting his message across. I guess he needs to fill a torture quota, and if he does too good a job, he won't have an excuse to cause pain and suffering.
Yes, we invented nukes, used them, and caused a lot of undue suffering. And we still haven't killed or tortured as much as your god, who has supposedly been at this for thousands of years. If not millions.
He inflicts torture but with "justice" as a constraint. "Mercy" has many forms that pleasure is one of them. He is merciful to all, but if the line he drew and warned creatures to cross is crossed then the "justice" of God must be, and it also has many forms that torture is one of them.
It was never a concept stated in the Quran that the majority will believe. In fact the opposite was mentioned:
Quote:Sura 12, The Quran:

( 102 ) That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal, [O Muhammad], to you. And you were not with them when they put together their plan while they conspired.
( 103 ) And most of the people, although you strive [for it], are not believers.
So religiously, I sleep at night knowing that "most people even if I strive for it are not believers".
