I've noticed no one comment on Mr. peace's interpretation is still advocating hitting women.
He tries to gloss over it by offering an interpretation that it states hit them 'lightly'.
Lightly or not it STILL ADVOCATES violence. And just so you don't feel like the lone ranger p2u, here's a couple bibles verses for you to look up; 1 Chronicles 10:9; 2 Kings 6:31, 2 Samuel 4:7.
Christianity also advocates beheadings (violence). But that's another thread.
